Spero
This is Spero. He is an adorable 4 month old male cat and he was abandoned with his other 5 brothers and sisters. He is very playful and cuddly. Doesn't mind being with other cats. Who wants to adopt this gorgeous boy?
Sam
The 3rd Brother is Sam. He is a cute cuddly boy and loves dry food more than anything. Also a 4 month old male looking for someone to cuddle with for the rest of his life!
Sasha
The 2nd sister is Sasha. Even though she is nearly identical to her brother Spero, her character is different. She is more of the sleeping type. She likes to rest and watch her brothers play around. Who wants to give Sasha a loving home?
Melody
The last sister of the 6 abandoned kittes is Melody. She is a very shy girl, but once she trusts you, you will see her passionate and tender personality. Who want's to love Melody for the rest of her life?
Coco
Meet Coco. Her owners have to leave for Australia, but sadly have to leave her behind as quarantine regulations there are very strict! Coco was found on the street when she was about 8 weeks old, and was covered in flees with no mother in sight. She was taken to a vet, who checked and treated her free of charge under the condition that she will be taken home and looked after. Coco has now been a member of their family for 7 years. They are very sad to leave her behind and therefore are searching for a loving new home for their pet.
Moon and Star
Moon and Star-two Beautiful brothers need loving homes. They were taken to a vet clinic where owners said they wanted to sterilize them. After their operations the owners contacted the vet and said they no longer wanted them and did not care what the vet did to them, they were not coming back or paying, The junior vet at the clinic an ex-vet at ESMA, knew those cats will go on the street so he contacted us and begged us to save the cats. They are lovely and very nice with humans but scared as they do not understand what happened. They can’t be separated!
Paw
1 year old bundle of beauty named Paw. If you want to enjoy life and company then Paw is your girl. Playful, cuddly, friendly and loves humans so much although some of them deprived her of her mum and threw her in the drainage to kill her but she is a real tough girl who could catch the attention of one of ESMA ladies. Although just a tiny 2 weeks old thing that could hardly be seen, bottle feeding did her good. She loves dogs too as she was raised with them. A joyful lifetime companion if you want to experience real love.
Garfield
Garfield, male, 3 years old, sterilized, lost one eye due to abuse. He is shy and lost confidence in humans. He might not be a super friendly cat but he has a very warm heart for other cats and if life has been cruel to him why should he be deprived of a home?
Hanna
This is Hanna-she was found poisoned in the streets of Cairo. Thankfully she is now recovered and ready to find a loving home. She is a bit shy as if she understands that humans were the ones responsible for her abuse, so she needs time to get assured that the person in front of her is ok.
Simon
Meet Simon, a playful, cuddly, talkative 4 month old boy. You can see it in his eyes! Simon is one of Spero's brothers and is waiting for the loving family that will take him and love him forever.
Ocheen
Ocheen, female, 1 year old, found with her brothers dumped as a newly born kitten in the trash in a street in Zamalek. She was bottle fed by us, raised with dogs and cats, very lovely character, playful but also very independent.
Lolitta
Lollita , female, 1 year old she knows she is beautiful. She is very affectionate and loves humans. She was rescued from poison that cost her mother her life and she was bottle fed by us. She will make a great pet for any family.
Margi
1 year old Margi was a surprise to our member Margo who found her on the streets of Zamalek inside a box, with a gold necklace and a blue palm pendant around her neck. She has been in the box for 3 days one of the porters in the area said, she was not used to regular food but she devoured the dry food when Margo offered it to her. This was not a street cat, this was either lost or abandoned. For a couple of hours Margo went from building to building checking with people if someone lost his cat but there was no response. She took her home with her and made posts around but no one claimed her and she came to ESMA. She prefers to be the only queen of the house, very proud of herself and loves attention. She will make any owner very happy. She is sterilized and fully vaccinated.
Ping and Pong
Ping and Pong, brothers of Ocheen, were found in the garbage when they were only few days old. Some hard hearts could snatch us from our mums and throw us away, as we are the boys we are super playful, love chasing balls and love food too much, just like our sister we were bottle fed by ESMA mum Bahra who took care of us with other kittens and dogs so we are not afraid of dogs at all. We would love being together if possible.
Tico
This is Tico a male, sterilized cat found a few days after the revolution in a horrific miserable shape. Ears bleeding and obviously cut somehow. We cannot tell how this happened unless intentionally because both ears were affected. Tico is the liveliest character of cats you can meet, nothing is bothering him. He is playing and enjoying life at the house of my foster mum, Bahra, with a company of other fostered kitties of ESMA. If you love fun then he is your guy and if you want love forever, then you'll make the right choice choosing Tico.
Selmyia
A female, turkish cat, from the slogan of our revolution. We named her Selmyia (peaceful) because she is such a peaceful cat. So lovable, she clearly used to be a house cat that was found on top of a car taking a sun bath on one of the empty streets of Zamalek, enjoying the quietness of Cairo streets during curfew. She was happy someone offered her food and happy to be held and did not panic inside the car. Asking around nobody knew where she came from. She was a little dirty but that is normal for her white color in Cairo streets. Estimated to be 2-3 years old.
Oprah
OPRAH is a female, around 6 months old. She was found near the Old Opera Square while Mona was driving to the vet with a critical case on the first day when they still allowed cars into mid town, and there she was standing in the middle of the street on a pile of sand doing her thing. She was there because she wanted the sand and she did not mind being in the middle of the road. Mona saw a white thing from afar and kept thinking this cannot be a cat, but to her total amazement she was a cat. Mona pulled up her car in the middle of the street, waving the other cars away as the cat seemed really not to be bothering about them. Mona approached her slowly not to scare her in case she might run away in front of one of the cars. She quickly grabbed her by the neck and ran back to her car where she handed her to Mahmoud, the cat care taker, who was accompanying Mona to the vet. Oprah is so cuddly and playful and into food too much since she was really hungry - quite opinionated too. She has beautiful blue eyes.
Tahrir
Tahrir (named after the square) was found in Lebanon Square. He looked really odd on the pavement going around meowing as if calling on someone or looking for somewhere. The lady who saw him thought he was lost from the building he was standing in front of, so she went inside and rang at a few doors till a porter showed up. He confirmed that this cat did not belong to anyone and had been on the street for the past 5 days doing the same thing from one building to another. He is very homey - used to a litter box, scratch boxes, and picky on his dry food type. He is easy going with other cats too, loves women and likes to flirt! He is already sterilized and estimated to be 3-4 years old.
Busi
Busi was mainly a house cat but her family allowed her outside and did not spay her. And then when she had kittens as a result, they became furious and tried to "throw away" her kittens. But she kept bringing them back inside, and then they threw her out too. Now she is spayed and despite all of this, she is a very sweet cat.
Wendy and Family
Wendy, female , estimated 2 years , sterilized Marmar, female, now around 8 months old, sterilized Maroon, male , now around 8 months old, sterilized We would like to get this family adopted together. Wendy the mom was found with her sister in an isolated area in Alexandria when it was very cold. All were very weak and very young, cuddling each other trying to stay warm. They were picked up and brought to us all the way from Alexandria! There is no shelter in Alexandria, and they had a very clear case of pneumonia, and no one could care for them there. The bigger sister was very sick and died shortly after her arrival. Wendy struggled a lot and then we discovered she was pregnant. She completed the treatment for pneumonia and later gave birth to two kittens. Marmar the girl with 3 colors, and Maroon the boy beige and white. They are so attached to each other that if one of them is taken to be checked by the vet the other two are so upset and sad till the other one comes back. Wendy still takes care of them, licking and cleaning them all the time, waiting for them to eat first - they have an amazing bond together.
Sosta & Berawi
4 months old kittens: The Female (Sosta) found while she was really young and the children kept treating her like a toy; kept throwing her against a wall. Each time she returned they would throw her again and again. She kept meowing, pleading. Her sound was clearly of pain, but the kids just kept laughing. The male (Berawi) is her brother. The same children buried him ALIVE! I could not believe myself and hurried to the place they put him and was digging like crazy hoping to be able to get him out in time, my hands were shaking, my heart bounding, my whole body shivering, I felt my hands too heavy and not fast enough but I cried hysterically when I finally managed to get him out and heard his panicked MEOW. Even now he can't deal easily with people, his sister is his only joy in life, with her he feels safe and happy, he cannot live without her, they do everything together.
Wezza(l) Ouda(m) Coco(r)
Males - we are not sure exactly how old they are. All three are neutered and vaccinated. Came from a home where the woman no longer wanted then and just put them out on the street. They were so scared and confused. Wezza and Ouda cannot be adopted separately, they are too attached to each other, but Coco (on the right) would do just fine alone in a new home.
Cheeta
Male - from the same situation as Wezza, Ouda, Coco
