This lab-rotweiler mix was brought from Greece as a gift to an Egyptian. Here is why animals are not appropriate gifts–the recipient may not want the animal and might treat him or her very badly. This is what happened to Eros. He was tied to a short leash and kept locked in a small room. A neighbor finally intervened only to be told that the family was simply going to euthanize the dog! The neighbor was able to convince them otherwise, and got Eros to our shelter. He feels calm with women and nervous with strange men.
